SAHD

December Giveaway is still open here

I was browsing through the Studio Calico gallery the other day and came across an 'old' layout by Waleska Neris which instantly inspired me to through together my own version of it. You can see the layout that I lifted, called 'Learning to Read' here.

It dawned on me after I had made this that I didn't use any patterned paper.... how odd. And then I realised the layout I had made just before it (which I haven't yet shared..... but I will) didn't have any patterned paper either. It surprised me that I could do this, I wouldn't have thought it very easy. But apparently it is!

I guess I made my own patterned paper of sorts with the misted background for the photo. I do love this idea which I pinched straight from Waleska's layout, and I'm sure I'll try it again.

Have you seen these journaling tickets before? They come in a pack by American Crafts - part of the new Enchanted line by Dear Lizzy. I got mine from here (those brads are from the same collection too). Seriously, these are the best value journaling spots I've seen in a long time. Although it says 24 cards in the packet - this actually means the number of sheets. And given most of the sheets have two, three, four or six different tickets on it, you get SSssOOOoooo many beautiful journaling spots for your money.

And speaking of things I've recently fallen in love with..... the Vintage Doily punch by Martha Stewart. Deeeevine!

Could you read the journaling up there to work out what this layout is about?
It's written to The Man and says: "So these are the kinds of antics you three get up to while I'm at work hey? Aaahh the simple pleasures of being a stay-at-home-day. XXOO"
